Vulnerability Assessment Service
This service is undertaken using tried and tested open source tools equipped with the latest known
vulnerability signatures.
The output of the various test runs are analysed by our own consultants who have many years of
information security experience. The output of this service is a report customised for the client
environment and checked to ensure that false indications of vulnerability (or the lack of a
vulnerability) are eliminated.
In operation, the vulnerability tests are undertaken against registered IP addresses over the
Internet.
It is expected that the client will provide all necessary network intelligence before the
commencement of the tests.
The tests are designed to detect known vulnerabilities in a client network (as seen from the
Internet) but do not undertake the detailed testing that would occur during a penetration test.
