VPNet use Dynamic DNS with Multilink to provide high availability and load balancing for Webservers
and other essential business applications.
Having your webserver available on only one tail circuit means if that connection goes down your site
goes down.
VPNet's Symmetric Broadband Service (SBS Platform) we can utilise multi-link technology to improve
through put with this High Availability solution.
VPNet uses Multiple tail circuits (up to 64) of any variety (ADSL, SDSL, ISDN, Leased
line, etc.) which also load balances them so you have maximum usage of available bandwidth.
VPNet can control packet pass-though to ascertain which is the fastest tail-circuit at that
particular milli-second. When a Web server is hosted behind a single Static Public IP address it is
more vulnerable to many forms of attack (e.g. DDoS) however using the VPNet Dynamic DNS solution
the web server and the URL are associated to many IPs.
This works by having a combined Dynamic DNS link which operates on a round Robin principle for
up to 64 different IP addresses. The first visitor to a site will go to ADSL Circuit 1, then the second
visitor is sent to the next public IP address in the DDNS list - but both have visited the exact
same "www." address. This means that there are broadband speeds available for a much cheaper price
than for a dedicated line and using multiple tail-circuits and multiple ISPs VPNet offer
financially backed SLAs.
This solution is also highly scaleable: if you are currently doing low levels of traffic but foresee
a sudden increase at some point in the future it takes VPNet 5-10 working days to increase your
bandwidth.
If you host in house let VPNet provide your connectivity.
